Farhan meets the original music band that inspired 'Lucknow Central'

Ranjit Tiwari directed upcoming film 'Lucknow Central' is based on a real-life story of a Lucknow based prison band named as the ''Healing Hearts''. The film is actually inspired by true events and yes this prison mates band exists and performs at various events and functions. The roots of this band takes us back in time at 2007, when the Senior Superintendent of the Prison, V.K Jain decided to form a music band contest from Lucknow's Central Jail, where participants across various prison from Uttar Pradesh would unite to showcase their talent with musical performances.

Moreover, Funds were raised and musical instruments were bought for the twelve life imprisoned convicted suspects who were trained by Noor Mohammad a prison guard musician who grew up learning music.

The band debut with commendable performance and won sheer applauds for their beginning at the Republic day. They didn't look back and went on performing for various other live events and private parties in their town from there on. There is an official booking counter for the band and the members go back to jail again after their live performance as they are still serving life imprisonment.   

The cast of the movie 'Lucknow Central' recently visited Lucknow and met the band members on which the entire film is based. The film also stars Gippy Grewal, Ronit Roy, Deepak Dobriyal and Rajesh Sharma in pivotal roles.
