The shrewd and stylish director of Kannada cinema, Dinesh Baboo, is ready to take on films of around Rs.1 crore for the television channel bosses. He has suggested scripts that would be ready in the limited budget.

What Dinesh Baboo wants, is that the channels first premier the film on the channel and then release it to the theatres. Otherwise, let them try them out first in theatres and then screen it on the channels. Both ways they benefit, is what he says.

How could that be? “Firstly the budget is limited and shooting will be done in a limited time and the star cast picked for my film is saleable. In addition to it, I am touching the sensible issues in the comedy as the main forte. These are films made in a small duration and with a small budget, that puts the producers in safety.” claims Dinesh Baboo.
