Karthik Sivakumar, the bright star after the movie 'Sakuni', yet again bags another Telugu-Tamil bilingual, titled 'Biryani'.
And for the first time, Richa Gangopadhayay, the Bengali actress who is off late making waves in Tollywood and Kollywood, will be sharing the screen space with Karthi in the movie.
Though initially, Venkat Prabhu, the director has considered Ileana D'cruz or Samantha Ruth Prabhu for the film, he later dediced to choose Richa.
The film is expected to be a thriller, loaded with comedy and romance and it will hit to floors at a function to be held in Chennai on 14th July, 2012.
An excited Venkat tweeted, "This biriyani will be loved by both vegetarians and non vegetarians!!"
Constume designer Vasuki Baskar added further on his micro-blogging page, "The entire team met up for the narration of Venkat Prabhu's 'Biriyani', which was very good ! It was followed by home-made biriyani for lunch. Happy and excited about 'Biriyani', you are just gonna love it!"
