(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Florence Welch has admitted her dad is embarrassing at music award after-parties.
The star is lead vocalist of British group Florence and the Machine, and is known for her unique sense of style and flamboyant stage performances.
At the 2010 BRIT Awards, the bands debut album Lungs won the Mastercard British Album award. They were also nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards this year, but the prize went to jazz singer Esperanza Spalding.
Florence, 24, says she has fond memories of parties that follow on from awards ceremonies. The singer has revealed however, that when her family are involved, it can lead to embarrassment.
My whole family came which was great, but its always quite embarrassing when the evening ends with your dad screaming Flossie at the top of his lungs outside the after-party... she told NME about one of her favourite after-parties.
It has been previously stated that Florences dad Nick Welch a self confessed frustrated performer - contributes a "rock and roll element to the family mix.
Florence who supported White Lies, Friendly Fires and Glasvega on the NME Awards Tour in 2009 has revealed she has endless fun memories of showbiz bashes, whether they involve her family or not.
