When two stunning actresses are cast opposite each other there are bound to be rumors. Genelia and Hansika who play important roles in the Vijay starrer Velayudham. This gave rise to rumors that there was a stiff competition between the two actresses to prove who the best among the two is.

Genelia rubbished this as rumors and said that she plays a city girl in the film while Hansika will be playing the character of a village belle. The characters are so different, so the question of competition did not arise on the Velayudham sets, states Genelia.

Velayudham, one of the most expected films of the year, is due to hit the screens this Diwali.
