George Clooney: Gosling is too handsome

6th October 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - George Clooney has joked he "doesn't like" Ryan Gosling because he's "tall and handsome".

The Hollywood actor appears alongside Ryan in upcoming political drama The Ides of March. He plays a presidential candidate in the new movie which he also directed and co-wrote.

George has revealed that working alongside Ryan was difficult as he envies his co-stars looks.

"I don't like that man," he joked to E! Online at the Ides of March premiere in New York City. "Mr. Tall and Handsome, but I'm told he'll grow out of it."

It isn't just Ryan's slender frame and boyish good looks George is envious of. The hunk says the 30-year-old star has more talent than him too.

"I was an actor at the same age he is," he explained.

"I couldn't do any of things that he can. I had a mullet and was in some bad sitcom."

Despite George's modest protests, The Ides of March screenwriter and friend Grant Heslov says the ladies love George and Ryan equally. When asked which actor got most female attention on set, he responded with a safe answer.

"I would say it was right down the middle," he replied.

Ryan also recently gushed about his co-star. The actor admitted that he is completely in awe at his co-star's productivity.

"[George is] a mystery to me. He's so busy all the time. He's doing so much that it's hard to understand how he's doing it, but he's doing it pretty effortlessly," Ryan explained to ScreenCrave.

"He's directing, producing, writing, starring in. He's got the satellites of Darfur project. He's got all these practical jokes. I don't know how he does it. I have no idea." (C) Cover Media
