January 15, 2011 (Showbiz PR Wire):Balaji Telefilms Ltd., Indias leading creator of content in films, television and new media, will host the 1st Global Indian Film & Television Honours (GIFTH) the nations first joint film and television awards event.
After the runaway success of its last award ceremony held in the year 2008 the house of Balaji is back bigger better than ever as host of the first of its kind amalgamation of 2 major components of the Indian Entertainment Industry Television and Films.
To be held in Mumbai on February 12, 2011, the event will see 6 main categories namely Popular, Technical, Programming, Achievement (for which there will be no nominations), Special Honours and Voters Choice and 30 sub categories.
GIFTH 2010-2011 will be televised on Colors, Indias No.1 GEC on 27th February, 2011. It will be a dream come true for millions of Colors viewers who will witness their favorite film and television stars entertaining and being felicitated on the same platform.
The best of 2010 will be decided entirely through a combination of jury and public voting, audited by Ernst & Young. The means of public voting will be announced on Colors.
The dissemination of awards will be interspersed by live entertainment by top film and television personalities.
