9th February 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - The cast of Glee expected Chris Colfer to be wrestled to the ground after he accidentally made an ill-timed joke about US President Barack Obama.

The stars of the popular American television show were invited to visit the White House last April to perform live at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, in front of Obama and a host of other important people.

Everyone was overwhelmed when they finally arrived at the iconic political building, and Dianna Agron who portrays Quinn Fabray in the series has revealed Chris in particular got overexcited. He couldnt help exclaiming when he saw the president, but immediately regretted his choice of vocabulary.

We were all so excited to visit the White House and everybody had cameras and we're taking pictures on the lawn, she is quoted as saying. Then all of a sudden Obama walked out on the balcony with a glass of iced tea and he looked so incredible and Chris Colfer yells, 'Oh my God, shoot him!' Of course he meant with the camera but there's snipers on the roof waiting to tackle any situation. Fortunately nobody seemed to hear him but for a moment there we were all expecting to be arrested and for Chris to be wrestled to the ground.

Chris plays gay teenager Kurt Hummel on the show, and was horrified by his gaffe. He immediately apologised to everyone around him, and luckily the security guards saw the funny side. (C) Cover Media
