(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashian says Dame Elizabeth Taylor is her idol.

The reality TV star and the Hollywood actress are interviewed for the March issue of Harpers Bazaar and Kim was thrilled to have the opportunity to quiz the legend.

Elizabeth is renowned for her dazzling big screen performances, good looks and turbulent love life. She has had seven different husbands, and married Hollywood heartthrob Richard Burton twice. Kim has revealed she is in awe of the screen icon and would love to be as successful as Elizabeth.

"You are my idol. But I'm six husbands and some big jewels behind," Kim told Elizabeth.

"I never planned to acquire a lot of jewels or a lot of husbands, Elizabeth replied. "For me, life happened, just as it does for anyone else.

"I have never felt more alive than when I watched my children delight in something, never more alive than when I have watched a great artist perform, and never richer than when I have scored a big check to fight AIDS."

Elizabeth went on to discuss the stunning pieces of jewellery she has been given in her lifetime. Her third husband, Mike Todd, presented her with a 29.4 carat emerald cut diamond engagement ring, while Richard gave her a 69.42 carat pear-shape diamond and the famous 33.19 carat Asscher-cut Krupp diamond. The actress, who turns 79 this month, still cherishes the jewellery, revealing every piece holds a special memory.

"The Krupp is an extraordinary stone. It has such life and brilliance when light shines through it, she explained. Size does matter, but so does the size of the emotion behind it."

One of Elizabeths most famous roles saw her play Egyptian queen Cleopatra, alongside Richard in 1963. Even though she is fondly remembered for her performance, the star insists she didnt harbour any royal aspirations in real life.

"I have never wanted to be a queen, she added. "Cleopatra was a role, and I am an actor, so it was fun to play one, but it's not real." (C) Cover Media
