28th January 2019

The makers of 'Gully Boy' are out with yet another song titled 'Doori' and we see Ranveer Singh rapping some meaningful lines that ask some serious questions in context of the society; showcasing a thoughtful revolt with his rap verses and we are taken to these streets where these hard working hands feed on their own expecting nothing from the rich and government.

These slow-motion shots showcasing the innocent poor kids and the ladies from the slums blend well and we are hard hit by these thoughts that need revolution. The lyrics of the song are penned by Divine and Javed Akhtar whereas Ranveer singing it one breath has all our attention. Click here to watch Gully Boy song Doori.

Gully Boy is directed by Zoya Akhtar who has helmed hits like 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara', 'Dil Dhadakne Do' and 'Luck By Chance'. The films also star Alia Bhatt as the female lead and have been bankrolled by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment.

Speaking about the genre of Hip-hop, Ranveer said to a leading daily, "Hip-hop is something that's very alive inside me and always has been ever since I was a kid. I have a natural affinity and inclination towards it and I was thrilled to be in Zoya's (director Zoya Akhtar) film because I had always wanted to do such a film."
