Gwyneth Paltrow denies record deal

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Gwyneth Paltrows publicist has revealed the star hasnt yet finalised a record deal.

The 38-year-old actress displayed her vocal abilities in the movie Country Strong, and she has also given a host of impressive live performances of late at prestigious events such as last months Academy Awards ceremony and the Grammy Awards.

There have been numerous rumours flying around that the actress - who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin - has signed a deal to record a solo album, with some reports suggesting a contract worth around a million dollars had been offered.

The stars publicist has hit out at the claims, although has hinted negotiations could be taking place.

There is no deal in place for Gwyneth with any record label yet, the publicist told Entertainment Weekly.

Meanwhile, Gwyneths famous actress mother Blythe Danner, 68, has admitted her daughters recent foray into the realm of music hasnt come as a shock. Blythe is especially happy to see Gwyneth appearing on American musical drama show Glee. Last night US viewers saw the actress make her second cameo appearance by reprising the role of substitute teacher Holly Holiday.

I never am surprised by what she can do; in my mind, theres nothing she cant do, Blythe gushed to MTV News.

I think this was very joyful thing for her to do and a great release. Theres a liberating thing about singing and dancing. Its just a gift to be able to do it. Shes always had the talents. She always could do these wonderful harmonies. Im not a bit surprised. Im thrilled, because I know what fun it can be. (C) Cover Media
