(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Gwyneth Paltrow has admitted that her marriage to Chris Martin is not "all rosy".

The couple, who have been married for seven years, are notoriously discreet about their relationship and are rarely seen out together.

But Gwyneth says in the September issue of Elle magazine, that despite the constant rumours they are splitting up, they are firmly together - although it is not always easy.

"Sometimes it's hard being with someone for a long time. We go through periods that aren't all rosy," Gwyneth shared. "I always say, life is long, and you never know what's going to happen."

But she added that she has no regrets in choosing the Coldplay frontman to be the father of her two children, Apple, seven, and Moses, five.

"If god forbid, we were ever not to be together, I respect him so much as the father of my children," she said.

"Like, I made such a good choice. He's such a good dad. You can never be relaxed or smug and think, I've got this thing.'

"That's also part of it keeping yourself on your toes. I'm not going to take this for granted."

Gwyneth calls Chris a "musical genius" but says despite her own ventures into the music industry she has decided not to seek her husband's advice on the subject.

"It's like living with Picasso and being like, Should I make a little something-something?" she questioned.

"He makes music for his fans and doesn't want people to conjure a lame famous couple when they're getting into his music," she said of keeping their marriage low-key. "I get it." (C) Cover Media
