(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift spent the weekend together in California.

The 29-year-old Hollywood actor and 20-year-old country singer Taylor first sparked dating rumours a couple of weeks ago when they indulged in what appeared to be a romantic weekend in New York. Even though Taylor has so far remained coy about her relationship with Jake, the pair have now been seen at the Post Ranch Inn, in Big Sur.

One onlooker said Jake was holding Taylors hand as they relaxed by the pool.

"Taylor laughed at everything Jake said," a source told Us Weekly. "At one point, she measured herself against Jake on her tiptoes."

On Monday evening the stars were spotted enjoying ice cream at McConnell's parlour. Taylor chose yogurt with rainbow sprinkles, while Jake indulged in chocolate chip. The pair spent around 20 minutes at the eatery, before Jake paid the bill.

"They looked at all the flavours and couldn't decide, so they asked the counter girls for help," a member of staff revealed. They were happy and friendly. They smiled a ton!

Taylor was very interested in what I was doing in the back making ice cream and said, 'Wow, you guys are legit!'"

As they left the ice cream parlour, they met some young fans and were happy to pose for photographs with them.

Even though there has been no official confirmation from either Taylor or Jake on the romance, insiders have claimed things are getting serious.
