The 14-year-old star was nominated for the best supporting actress gong for her role in True Grit alongside Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon. The actress, who looked stunning in her Marchesa princess gown, worked with designer Georgina Chapman to create the dress herself.

We offered to dress her for Oscars when nominations came out, Marchesa spokeswoman Karla Barbosa told People. She sent us inspiration images and notes, and based off of that, Georgina designed this one-of-a-kind dress for her special night.

Hailee who wore the brand for the Critics Choice Awards told Georgina exactly what she wanted for her big night. She explained that she wanted a tea-length tulle dress in an unusual dusty English rose colour.

The prom-inspired dress took three days to hand dye as there were 16 layers of tulle which needed to be in the perfect pink hue. The dress was then hand embroidered with crystals to give the illusion of them fading into the skirt. (C) Cover Media
