(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Halle Berry has reportedly been rushed to hospital.

The star was apparently taken to Cedars- Sinai Medical Center at 10pm last night after being injured on the set of her new movie The Hive.

According to X17online, the star was hurt when she was hit by a "falling object".

Several sources have confirmed the incident occurred to the website, although Halle's representative hasn't commented on the report.

The film is being shot in downtown Los Angeles, with an ambulance taking the 45-year-old actress from the set to the hospital.

Shooting has been halted on the production at the moment. No further details about the accident are known.

The Hive also stars David Otunga, who is engaged to Jennifer Hudson, and Abigail Breslin. It is about an emergency line operator who goes all out to help a young girl whose life is in danger.

Last week, Kristin Chenoweth was hospitalised after she was struck by a piece of lighting equipment while shooting TV show The Good Wife in Brooklyn, New York. (C) Cover Media
