Rajkumar Hirani was discharged from Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai after a successful jaw surgery.The filmmaker had sustained injuries after falling from a motorcycle. Hirani was admitted in the ICU for couple of days.

Dr. Jalil Parkar said, "Mr Hirani's jaw was dislocated and fractured for which doctors operated on him. He is fine. He was discharged from the hospital last evening."

The mishap took place on August 11, 2015 when Hirani was riding one of his staff members newly purchased bike. His '3 Idiots' actor Aamir Khan visited him in the hospital as soon as the news broke.
