On Thursday, a group of folk artists, convening a media meet, condemned the attitude of noted music director and lyricist Hamsalekha, for his reported comments at Vishwa Kannada Sammelana dais, at Belagavi on the 11th of March cultural events. The verbal clash was visible on the television sets, around midnight, when the folk artists were performing according to the time allotted. Hamsalekha, coming from behind, used humiliating words and asked the folk artists to cut short their performance and walk off the stage. The folk artists, who had been waiting, felt depressed with Hamsalekha's statement and got off the stage, making way for Kannada cinema artist's events. Back in Bangalore, all the folk artists strongly condemned Hamsalekha's behaviour.
