Nearly a year after adopting 20 school going children, Hansika is now expanding her social welfare activities. The actress will soon start a home for elderly citizens, who are in need of support.

'It's my longtime dream to float a home for elderly people. There are a lot of aged persons in India who are in need of shade and food. My heart always beat for them,' she says.

To raise funds for the cause, Hansika will organise a painting exhibition, where she will display art works done by her. 'I have been painting for so many years. The expo will be conducted soon,' she said.

Hansika added: 'The proceedings of the sale will go towards constructing the elderly citizens' home. I am happy that my dream will be realised soon.'
