Happy Birthday Vivek

One of the most talented actors in B-Town, the dashing Vivek Oberoi turns 39 as he celebrates his birthday today 3rd September 2015.

Born to the veteran actor Suresh Oberoi, Vivek had acting in his blood under his father's tutelage. Vivek made his film debut with Ram Gopal Varma's 'Company' and proved his worth with his very first film as he garnered tremendous critical appreciation for his role in the film.

Post 'Company' there was no turning back for the versatile actor as he went to work in several hits like 'Saathiya', 'Darna Mana Hai', 'Masti', 'Omkara', 'Shootout At Lokhandwala' and 'Krrish 3'.

In 'Company' Vivek played the role of the gangster Chandu Nagre and received universal critical acclaim for his performance in the film. In 'Saathiya' he played the role of Aditya, the obsessive lover of Suhani Sharma played by Rani Mukerji.

In 'Masti' he played Meet Mehta, who's life is made a living hell by his better half Aanchal Mehta played by Amrita Rao and was lauded by the critics for his performance. In 'Shootout At Lokhandwala' he played the notorious gangster Maya Dolas and his role in the film yet again fetched him tremendous appreciation. He played the main antagonist 'Kaal' in 'Krrish 3' and his performance in the film was so awesome that indeed one loved to hate his character.

After having said so much, there are no prizes for guessing that the versatile, intense and immensely talented actor has been nominated several times for his work in films. Vivek has been nominated for Filmfare Award for his role in 'Saathiya', 'Shootout At Lokhandwala' and 'Krrish 3' but it was his role in 'Company' that fetched him his Filmfare Award for the Best Debut and Best Supporting Actor .
