With 'Singam 2' on the cards, director Hari is busy selecting the cast of the film.

While Suriya, Anushka Shetty, Hansika Motwani, Vivek and Santhanam play the lead roles, the director is auditioning fresh faces for the supporting cast. 'The auditions conducted at AVM Studio in Chennai saw the active participation of more than 1000 actors and actresses,' said sources close to the director. 

'Shortlisted candidates will be called for the final round of selection and at least 10 of them will be signed for the movie,' they add.

Singam 2 is a sequel of 2010 blockbuster 'Singam' and is expected to hit the floors soon
