Harrison Ford enjoyed greedy role

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Harrison Ford enjoyed playing a greedy man with no ambition for his new movie.

The star appears as Mike Pomeroy in Morning Glory, which is about a breakfast TV show called Daybreak which is losing viewers. Mike is brought in to try to turn the programmes fortunes around, but isnt happy about his new position. Playing someone so grumpy was fun for Harrison, who is proud of the movie.

Mike views breakfast television with complete distain. Hes a hard news guy whos spent his career as a journalist not as an entertainer, he explained. Hes really only in morning television because his contracts run out and hes been pushed off the anchor desk by a younger man but if he turns down the job that is offered to him that money goes away, so its his greed that propels him into morning television.

Mike is joined on Daybreak by Colleen Peck, played by Diane Keaton. Both are keen to be top dog and constantly vie to out-do each other, proving a headache for producer Becky, portrayed by Rachel McAdams.

Harrison thinks Becky is an interesting character, and enjoyed the way Rachel got to grips with the character. Her agenda is to make a success of her job, to cajole him into doing what she needs to have done, he told the BBC. Shes a young ambition person without much experience, hes an old experienced person without much ambition. (C) Cover Media
