Harshvardhan Rane, who has been currently stationed in London shooting for J P Dutta's ambitious war drama, 'PALTAN', is seen sporting a new look for one of his forthcoming projects. Reports state that the National award-winning director previously offered this role to Abhishek Bachchan who turned it down and then he finally choose Harshvardhan Rane who has already worked on many Telugu projects.
JP Dutta last directed the 2006 film Umrao Jaan and it will be his directorial comeback after 12 long years. The 'Border' director was impressed by the new-coming actor at the first meet itself and immediately signed him for 'Paltan' as per the requirement of the script. He marked his Bollywood debut in 'Sanam Teri Kasam' in 2016.
The actor was critically acclaimed for his performance and turned out to be an overnight sensation with female fans thanks to his looks, and acting skills.
The sources are to be believed, the handsome hunk had to grow his hair for his role. In the film, he is supposed to sport long hair and for that, he won’t be chopping his hair for another four to five months. Though details of Harshvardhan's character have been kept under wraps, it's learnt that he's playing an inspiring character in PALTAN. The film will go on floors by the end of 2017 and is scheduled for a summer 2018 release.
