Within a span of five years, Bollywood's blue eyed boy Ranbir Kapoor has grown by leaps and bounds as an actor. He who has drawn attention for all his performances till date has bigwig filmmakers going gaga over him. And the latest to add to the list is globally renowned Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur who is now planning to revive his ambitious film 'Paani'. 

The film that is touted to be his most ambitious project so far, has been on the back burner for quite some time now.

But now that he has decided to bring it on front, he is leaving no stones unturned to bring the best to the film. 

Kapur had earlier approached Hrithik Roshan to play the lead, but it was only recently that Ranbir caught his attention. Reportedly, he also went to meet Ranbir on sets while he was shooting in Rajasthan. It was there that they discussed the film. 

It is heard that Ranbir has been offered the lead in the film, however nothing has been finalized on paper yet.
