Always known to share his good times with family and friends with netizens, actor Hrithik Roshan's latest post shook our heart. The actor revealed of his father and veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan of diagnosed with early stage cancer.

Senior Roshan has been diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat which means uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the lining of the throat.

Sharing the news Hrithik wrote, "Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it."

The caption was accompanied with the image of father-son posing in a gym. He further added, "As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. Love you Dad." As soon as he broke the news, innumerable comments wishing the filmmaker a speedy recovery poured in from fans and well-wishers online. The duo will soon collaborate for the fourth installment of the ‘Krrish’,  slated to hit the screens on Christmas 2020.

Earlier in 2018, actress Sonali Bendre, Nafisa Ali and actor Irrfan Khan revealed of being detected with cancer. We wish the filmmaker a speedy recovery and loads of strength to the family.
