(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Salma Hayek's husband Francois-Henri Pinault is the father of Linda Evangelista's son, according to reports.

The New York Post has claimed the Manhattan magistrate's court action confirms that the billionaire French businessman, 49, is the paternal father of the supermodel's 4-year-old son, Augustin James.

Linda, 46, attended the court yesterday in a bid to reach a support arrangement with Francois-Henri, who is the Chief Executive Officer of luxury brands firm PPR.

The revelation comes after years of Linda remaining tight-lipped over the paternity of her son. When the beauty gave birth to Augustin in October 2006, she categorically refused to name his biological father.

The New York Post claims that Linda conceived her son in early 2006, when Francois-Henri was separated from his actress wife.

Salma, 44, and Francois-Henri - who also has two other children from a previous marriage -welcomed daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault in September 2007.

The pair later wed on Valentine's Day 2009 in Paris, France.

Linda's lawyer, William Beslow, had no comment when contacted. (C) Cover Media
