The cheerleading comedy-drama is based on the book 'Cheer: Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders' penned by Kate Torgovnich, a journalist who has got the confirmation from The CW to have its second season. The channel is now dropping the extended preview of the January 25th episode named Papa, Oh Papa. No longer it is only giving the review of the first half of the season in its upcoming episodes preview but also what to expect from the new episode.

While Hellcats got its contract renewed for the second season, The CW, however, would air the last episode of Life Unexpected on January 18 and it will not be coming back for its next season. From now Hellcats will be pairing off with One Tree Hill on Tuesday nights and The CW will turn the Wednesday night to a reality night for its audience by airing Shedding for the Wedding and Americas Next Top Model.

The return of Hellcats will see more of Alyson Michalkas sister Amanda Michalka.
