Hilary Duff excited for work after baby

20th October 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Hilary Duff wants to start recording an album after her baby is born.

The 24-year-old star and her professional Hockey player husband Mike Comrie are currently expecting their first son together.

Hilary is four-and-a-half-months along in her pregnancy.

Reaching her midterm mark, Hilary has revealed her plans for after her baby is born.

"I want to get into the studio," Hilary told E! Online. "I want to start recording. Even if I just mess around and kind of get myself in the swing of it. Before I got pregnant I was thinking about making a record so I still want to do that."

Hilary will not enter the studio too soon after she gives birth though. The singer wants to adapt to motherhood before getting back to work.

"I think that after I have the baby I'll want to sit still for a few months and learn how to be a really good mom and then there's no reason why I can't put a record out and tour..." Hilary explained.

"It might take a little while but I'm really excited about it."

Creating new music after she welcomes her child is not Hilary's only aspiration. Releasing her second novel Devoted this month, Hilary is interested in penning another tome.

"I have like four dogs so I have this funny story in my head about their whole dynamic together living in the same house," Hilary said.

"I thought it would make a really cute child's novel."

Hilary's book Devoted is in stores across North America. (C) Cover Media
