(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Hilary Duff feels lucky to have had a "very easy" labour.
The actress and husband Mike Comrie welcomed their son Luca Cruz into the world at the end of March.
Hilary - who says motherhood has been an "amazing ride" - revealed she had a relatively trouble-free delivery.
"It was very easy," she shared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "I went into labour at about one in the morning and I very calmly had my bags packed and woke my husband up after about three hours of walking up and down my hallway.
"Then I'm like, Okay, it's time to go, let's go now.' We got in the car and drove to the hospital and that was it."
Hilary is revelling in her new role as a parent. The 24-year-old star loves seeing Luca changing all the time.
"Every single day, it seems like there's a new face that they're making. He started to smile about a week ago, and that's the coolest experience. It's all good," she gushed.
"What is to come is such an amazing journey, and a lot of work. It's just like the best thing that's ever happened to you."
Hilary is grateful of Luca's heavy sleeping patterns.
The blonde beauty says although she struggled with fatigue initially, she's now been able to catch up on some much-needed rest.
"I feel weird, because it seems like I'm bragging, but he sleeps from like 11 to six. It is possible, ladies," she said. "It didn't happen right away, but the past three weeks, he's an 11 to 6er." (C) Cover Media
