December 14, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Australian actor and producer Hugh Jackman received minor injuries to his face while shooting for an episode of a talk show with Oprah Winfrey. According to reports in the media, the injuries left the actor black eyed after he faced with an accident while performing a stunt for the talk show queen Oprah Winfrey.

Oprah Winfrey is currently in Australia working on two television chat shows which will feature celebrities hailing from the country. Apart from Hugh Jackman, actors like Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe and Keith Urban will also engage in a chit-chat with Oprah Winfrey. The show which will go on air next year will also feature the celebrity guests visiting several tourist spots in Australia and sharing their travel experiences with Oprah Winfrey.

It was for the shooting of such an episode that Hugh Jackman hurt himself on the face. Media photographs show the actor using a cable to slide down from the Sydney Opera House to a stage that had already been built for the talk show. Hugh Jackman was seen crashing against a light rigging on the stage as a result of which his face was injured. In a statement to the media, Hugh Jackman said that he was sliding down with such energy that he did not realize that the stage had already arrived. The actor was also seen holding an ice pack on his face. The injury has left a black patch under Hugh Jackmans right eye. With blood oozing out, he had to be treated by paramedics but did not fail to lose his humor. He was seen coaxing Oprah Winfrey to try out an Australian recipe even with the black eye.
