I miss shooting for 3-4 films simultaneously: Salman Khan

4th August 2014

From the last couple of years, Bollywood Superstar, Salman Khan has been having just one release in the whole year.

This year he made an exception as he had two releases, 'Jai Ho' and 'Kick', which did fairly well at box office.

Though each of his films breaks records, the box office success isn't enough for him. The actor wants more and he is ready to work doubly hard for the same.

He says that unlike the time when he started working in the industry, Bollywood is having very few releases.

"I miss shooting for 3-4 films simultaneously and having 4-5 releases. Earlier I had three shifts daily. 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and 'Biwi no. 1' were all shot together, I don't know why it no longer happens," said Salman who is amused by the fact that despite of shooting for one film at a time, he is twice as much busy.

"I can't understand why it is more hectic now. I am working twice as much as I would work when I was shooting three films a day. I want to do more movies simultaneously. Now what? I am getting one release in a year. It's not like I get a release every six months," said Salman.

He also pointed that earlier they were paid way lesser than what they are being paid now. Hence, he feels that actors should be working more now than ever. "When the prices are in crores we are just doing one film a year. All actors are really stupid," laughed Salman.

He said that no matter how hard he tries, he won't be able to resume the same schedule. "I want to, but I don't know how we'll manage it now," he said.

For the uninformed, Salman has always wanted and promoted the idea of more and more films by the industry as it generates business for the fraternity and this according to him gives economical stability to the supporting staff and ground staff to balance their livelihood consistently.
