Bollywood's foreign import, Nargis Fakhri made her debut opposite country's current hottest superstar Ranbir Kapoor. Their hot onscreen chemistry led to off screen link-up where they were rumoured to be dating. 

Later her friendly equation with Shahid Kapoor and then Uday Chopra had left tongues wagging. 

Nargis, who was a lot worried initially has developed a thick skin over a period of time. 

The actress has learnt to give gossips a deaf year and has started being herself both on and off screen. 

Nargis recently once again stated that she is single, however, she did mention that she is committed too. 

While she said that she is single as she is not dating anyone, she said that she is committed to her work as she wants to focus on films more than anything else. 

"I am single and committed to my work. An actress' shelf life is short and I want to make the most of my time. Frankly, I don't have time for anything else. This job is very hard. I am learning Hindi, dance and trying to focus on myself. So I am not looking to pursue any relationship right now," she said setting the records straight. 

However, she does confess that initially everything was very tough for her. "It was awkward and even upsetting at times. I was thrown into this world unprepared. I wasn't ready. When people used to walk up to me asking for photographs and autographs I felt strange as I wasn't used to that kind of attention. Then nosy things started being written about me. It was hard to deal with as I am quite a shy person. But now I understand media attention. It has changed my perception," said Nargis.
