(Cover) - EN Movies - Ian McShane has been cast as the "lead dwarf" in Universal's movie Snow White and the Huntsman.

Other than the Relativity Media Snow White project, which is employing real life actors to portray the famous seven dwarves, the Universal movie will use CGI technology to create the illusion of a smaller Ian McShane.

Joining a stellar cast of Kristen Stewart as Snow White and Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman, the actor will be portraying Caesar, the leader of the dwarves. Charlize Theron also stars as the Evil Queen.

Directed by Rupert Sanders, it seems that Snow White and the Huntsman will not stick to the original fairy tale word for word, as Ian McShane's character wasn't one of the seven dwarves mentioned in the popular children's story.

The film is set to begin production this August and is slated for a June 2012 release. (C) Cover Media
