Ilaiyaraja makes Kollywood proud

Indian film industry is no longer enclosed in realms and boundaries of the country. Our films, actors and even music are getting recognition worldwide.

Reportedly, music maestro Ilaiyaraaja’s composition is to be played in the opening ceremony of the Olympics. After Rajinikanth, Mani Ratnam and A. R. Rahman, Ilaiyaraja has got international recognition for Kollywood. 

Ilaiyaraaja’s 'Naandhaan Ungappanda...' from the 1981 film 'Ram Lakshman' will be played at the ceremony. A total of 86 songs have been selected and 'Naandhaan Ungappanda...' is one among them.

Ilaiyaraaja truly makes us all proud!
