Happy Birthday the ever gorgeous Simi Garewal!!!

First Rendezvous with Simi Garewal and now India’s Most Desirable- Simi Garewal managed to reach even today’s generation through television; but her real recognition was through her films like 'Mera Naam Joker', 'Siddhartha' and 'Karz'.

Born in a Jatt Sikh family in Delhi, Simi Garewal grew up in England. Her looks and her comfort with the English language induced the makers of the film 'Tarzan goes To India' to offer her a role. Simi Garewal was just 15 when she made her debut with Feroz Khan in this film. She went on to work in several important movies like 'Mera Naam Joker', 'Aranyer Din Ratri', 'Do Badan', 'Chalte Chalte' and 'Kabhie Kabhie'. In the early 1980s, her attention turned to writing and direction. She formed her own production company, Siga Arts International. She hosted, produced and directed a TV series for Doordarshan called 'It's a Woman's World' (1983). She also made a documentary for Channel 4 in the UK called 'Living Legend Raj Kapoor' (1984).

Simi won several awards for her acting roles as well as for her anchoring on TV. Simi Garewal has created her own style statement with her White Clothes on her TV shows. She is popularly known as "The Lady in White".
