Indo-Pak directors to promote peace

While there is a thin line between the two powerful states-India and Pakistan, the Cine industry of both the states have joined hands together to make films and promote peace.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) announced a campaign named ZEAL, where 12 celebrated directors from India and Pakistan united to make short films and to promote the social cause of peace in the two states.

Directors united near Wagah Border in Punjab to exchange innovative ideas in filmmaking.

Famed directors from the Indian Film Industry like Aparna Sen, Bejoy Nambiar, Ketan Mehta, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Tanuja Chandra, and Nikhil Advani came together with famous Pakistani directors like Meenu and Farjad, Mehreen Jabbar, Khalid Ahmed, Sabiha Sumar, Siraj-Ul-Haque, Shahbaz Sumar. They have made 12 short films under the banner of ZEAL which will be released in both the states.

Punit Goenka, MD & CEO, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, (ZEEL) who is responsible for this exercise happening said, "The ZEAL for Unity initiative is in line with our corporate brand philosophy of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – The World is My Family'. The objective of this initiative is to bring together creative minds, film makers, cultural exponents and thought leaders from both India and Pakistan to facilitate an apolitical exchange environment of peace and harmony."
