Advertising forms a major part of the revenue of B-town celebs as many Bollywood biggies get associated with popular brands to promote them. Ranveer Singh, who is currently the face of many popular brands will now be the brand ambassador of the US based beverage brand Thums Up. Earlier Salman Khan was seen endorsing the brand and has gained popularity as well.
Salman was unable to endorse the brand after he was signed as the host of a popular TV reality show. Coca-Cola also wanted a young and dynamic face to promote their brand and who other than Ranveer can replace Salman.
VP, marketing, Coca-Cola India and South West Asia, Debabrata Mukherjee was quoted saying, "Thums Up advertising is set apart by its energetic, fast-paced and stylish action. Singh, with his palpable energy and inimitable style, will help amplify aspirational quotient of the brand."
Thums Up is always looked upon as a macho drink and Salman was the apt face till he endorsed it. It will be interesting to see Ranveer as the saviour of the declined fizz of Thums Up in India.
