One of the most talented actors in the Hindi film industry, Irrfan Khan has earned loads of accolates for his performance. The actor is still basking in the success of his latest flick 'Life of Pi' directed by Ang Lee. Playing the older Pi in the movie, who narrates his lost story as a child, Irrfan proves his capabilities once again.
And hence, Yash Raj Films (YRF) couldn't help but cast him in their next titled 'Gunday'. Starring Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra, 'Gunday' is a film that talks about the turbulent times in Kolkata in the year 1971 to 1988 (then called Calcutta). The story revolves around Bikram and Bala, who rose from small time thieves to becoming the biggest and most powerful black marketing mafia-men.
Irrfan will be seen playing the role of an investigating officer in the film. This is his second movie with YRF after 'New York'.
It is also heard that the actor has bagged another role as a RAW agent in Nikhil Advani's 'D-Day' starring Arjun Rampal.
