It's an untold love story: Vikraman

20th July 2011

"In my 21 year journey in Tamil cinema, many have asked me to remake hit movies of other languages. My answer has always been a polite "no" to them. My forthcoming film 'Ilamai Kaalangal' too is based on an original script," says Vikraman.

The big daddy of soft love stories is back after a hiatus. He will start his new project soon. Elaborating, he says, "There are totally eight youngsters who play the lead actors of this movie. One of them is director Boopathi Pandian's brother, Arjun Prabhu." Vikraman adds: " Reshmi of 'Theneer Viduthi' fame and Swetha, who was a child artiste in my 'Priyamana Thozhi', will be the leading ladies of 'Ilamai Kaalangal'. Another heroine is also there and a search is on."

Saying that the film is an untold love story, the director further says, "Love stories have always kindled the interest of movie lovers. 'Ilamai Kaalangal' will throw light on the new-age romance and the impact it has on the lives of youngsters."
