Jack Nicholson: Dont treat me like the Medusa

30th January 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jack Nicholson has no desire to be treated like the Medusa or the Lincoln Memorial.

The 73-year-old Oscar-winning star is considered an icon in the movie industry, having wowed audiences with performances in films including Easy Rider, Five Easy Pieces, Chinatown, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Something's Gotta Give and The Departed.

Jacks latest role is starring alongside Owen Wilson, Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd in romantic comedy How Do You Know, and the star admits that despite his immense success, he likes to be treated like any other actor on set, and actually gets extremely nervous before making movies.

I hate it. I dont want to be treated like the Medusa or the Lincoln Memorial. People have an idea of me which is not the reality. On set Im an actor like every other actor. Most times, for every part I play, I can think of other actors who would be better.

I worry from the moment I take a job. I worry about how Im going to do it, if I can do it. I try to work out what I have to do on set and how I do that, he is quoted as saying in British newspaper The Daily Mail.

As well as admitting his film nerves, the actor also confessed that he feels he has lost his charm with women. The actor has romanced some of the most beautiful ladies in Hollywood during his long career, and he feels upset to admit that hes no longer a lady-killer.

If men are honest, everything they do and everywhere they go is for a chance to see women. There were points in my life where I felt oddly irresistible to women. Im not in that state now and that makes me sad, he lamented. (C) Cover Media
