(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jada Pinkett Smith says the key to her long-lasting marriage to Will Smith is "understanding, acceptance and compassion".

The pair tied the knot in 1997 and have a son Jaden, 13, and 11-year-old daughter Willow together. This December Will and Jada will celebrate 15 years of marriage, which Jada insists is just the beginning of a long life together.

"You need understanding, acceptance, and compassion. And usually you get understanding through friendship, so you need to have that," she told US Weekly.

"Fifteen years! It's amazing, isn't it? When I was doing the Today show, there was a couple there and they were celebrating 59 years of marriage! And I thought to myself, 'Fifteen years ain't nothing!' So it's just the beginning, really."

Jada says the couple are currently "trying to figure out" their summer plans. The actress has revealed that she is eager to make a return to her day job now her two children are more self-sufficient.

"I'll definitely be doing more on-screen acting. My kids are older now, so they're doing them," she explained. "And now I think I have an opportunity to do a little bit more." (C) Cover Media
