Jagapathi Babu will be playing a crucial role in a bilingual film starring Vikram in the lead role. Titled ''Thaandavam' in Tamil, the movie will be directed by Vijay of ‘Nanna’ fame.

Says the director, 'I’ve seen Jagapathi Babu’s films and I’ve always liked the way he carries his character forward. He has an appealing personality and I thought he would fit the bill. We approached him with the script and after listening to the narration, he agreed to be part of our project.'

The film brings together the ‘Nanna’ team- Vikram, director Vijay, producers UTV Motion Pictures and music composer G V Prakash Kumar- once again.

Vijay adds: 'When I and Vikram decided to work together again, we wanted to present a film that is totally different from ‘Deiva Thirumagan’ (Nanna). So I had zeroed in on an action subject. This will be an important milestone in my career.'
