Popular Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu is making his foray in Tamil film industry with Vikram starrer Thaandavam, directed by Vijay. The actor will be called in Kollywood as JB.

'There are no prizes for guessing that JB is the short form of Jagapathi Babu. He has chosen to be called this way in Kollywood since he found 'JB' very catchy. Director Vijay too loved it,' sources close to the development say.

Being produced by UTV Motion Pictures, Thaandavam is simultaneously made in Telugu also. Anushka Shetty and Amy Jackson are the leading ladies, while music is being composed by G V Prakash Kumar.

The first schedule of the shooting was wrapped up in Chennai on Sunday and the next schedule will take place in the United States. The cast and crew is expected to leave for the US next week.
