James Bonds Aston Martin Fetches 2.6 million Pounds!

In 1964, when Sean Connery drove the silver Aston Martin DB5 sports car in the James Bond film Goldfinger, he would have never imagined that the car will be sold for 2.6 million pounds in 2010. More than five decades have passed and now the James Bond cars demand has increased manifold and has fetched this huge amount at an auction on Wednesday.

The classic car auction was held in London and the car of the world famous spy was the star attraction of the day. The car Aston Martin was specially outfitted for James Bond. Rocker Rod Stewarts Lamborghini was also sold at this auction for 600,000 pounds. Earlier, auctioneer Peter Haynes estimated that the supercar will fetch around 3.5 million pounds.

Bonds gadget master Q outfitted the car with machine guns, an ejection seat, radar and nail-throwing machine.

In 1969, the car was bought by American broadcaster Jerry Lee for $12,000. He sold the car to raise money for his charitable foundation.
