(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Janet Jackson is "always ready" to leap into someone's lap.

The 45-year-old songstress is the youngest of Katherine and Joseph Jackson's ten children, and admits she still feels like a baby due to her status in the Jackson clan.

The star believes she has developed some childlike habits due to growing up in such a large family which included iconic family group The Jackson 5 members Jackie, 60, Tito, 57, Jermaine, 56, Marlon, 54, and late pop icon Michael, who passed away two years ago at the age of 50.

"I will always be the baby! It's been my role in my family and I assume it. Although I am 45, I am always ready to jump on someone's lap!" laughed the singer to France's Metro online.

Janet has recalled growing up in the star-studded musical family. The star didn't indulge in clichd adolescent pursuits such as journal writing or lusting after celebrities.

"I never had a diary when I was a little girl. Nor did I have any posters of my idols on the walls of my bedroom. My brothers had been singing since I was two, so it is the only life I knew," she mused.

The singer also discussed her current Number Ones: Up Close and Personal shows. Janet is currently on the European leg of the world tour, which she embarked on back in February.

"The idea of performing in small venues came to my mind last year when I did a private show. I had never done anything with such a level of intimacy before. I love the fact that I can see all the faces in the audience, even the ones at the back row!" she smiled. (C) Cover Media
