(Cover) - EN Showbiz - January Jones has always wanted a baby, according to her Mad Men director Matthew Weiner.

The actress is currently pregnant with her first child, although she is remaining tight-lipped about who the baby's father is.

January, who is best known for her role as Betty Draper in hit US drama series Mad Men, shocked fans because of the abrupt nature of the announcement.

Despite her pregnancy news coming almost out of the blue, the show's creator Matthew says the stunning star has wanted a family for as long as he can remember.

"She has wanted this very badly," he told E! Online. "She's got a big heart and she's been talking about having children since I met her, which is not always common with actresses."

Matthew believes the blonde beauty will make an exceptional mother. The television producer also has no doubt that the expectant mom will be absolutely committed to her new arrival.

"I think she's going to be amazing," he added. "She is going to be someone is going to be so devoted."

Matthew is coming up with ideas of how to incorporate January's pregnancy into her Mad Men storyline. The 45-year-old director says there are many viable options.

"I have to do something about it, but I'm not going to tell," he said. "It could be laundry baskets or it could be a body double. There are a million things you can do." (C) Cover Media
