September 24, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): It's a known fact that Jennifer Aniston is one of the most popular and sought after actresses in all of Hollywood. It is also known that her appearance on Courteney Cox's show 'Cougar Town' was talked about a lot but, evidently, her appearance didn't do much for the rankings of the channel. Lots of people expected that her appearance on the aforementioned show would do wonders for the channel's ratings but it didn't quite work out that way.

The show 'Modern Family' was on the same channel before 'Cougar Town' and enjoyed around 12.6 million viewers. This wasn't the case with 'Cougar Town' as the show couldn't hold on four million people and had a viewer count of just 8.3 million.

The premiere of the show was third on its time slot and the show was also down from the premiere of last year, when it had about 11 million viewers.

It seems that the reunion of Aniston and Cox isn't appealing to people much these days; Aniston's films aren't exactly in a perfect state either; The Switch, her last flick garnered just $8.1 million in the opening weekend. Let's just hope that Jennifer's dry phase is only temporary.
