Jennifer Hudson's toddler son might sing at her wedding.
The American singer has been engaged to pro wrestler David Otunga for almost four years and they have two-year-old David Jr. together.
The pair are in the midst of wedding plans and Jennifer says guests might be treated to something extra special on the big day.
"My son won't have it any other way: he'll definitely be a part of it. Maybe he'll even sing," she laughed.
Jennifer wouldn't be surprised if her son follows her into the entertainment business. David Jr. already loves impressing people with impromptu shows and always has comments to make on his mother's performances.
"He's growing up with a musical background and music is a huge part of our household. It's a huge way I communicate with him. He didn't want to go to bed the other day and wanted to sing for me. He tried to grab the mic stand and perform Proud Mary not that he knew all the words! But he got enough of it and did a good job. He really responds. When I perform, he'll tell me if he thinks I did good," she told Parade.
Jennifer's mother, brother and nephew were murdered in 2008, with her former brother-in-law William Balfour recently found guilty of their slayings.
The 30-year-old finds herself thinking back to her own childhood a lot now she is a mother herself.
"It made me realise how much my mom loved me and how much patience it takes. I think of the things my mom did for me and so I have to do it for my son. Now that I have a child, I get it. I get the example she set," she explained. "It's not always easy but it's for love. You realise how much you can love and how much you give up for your child as a parent. I'm learning that through him."
