(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jennifer Lopez is set to star in a new reality television show.

The 41-year-old singer who currently features as a judge on hit television talent contest American Idol - has teamed up with shows creator Simon Fuller and his XIX Entertainment company for a new musical competition.

The team wants a reality series that would feature Jennifer and her husband Marc Anthony scouring Latin America for undiscovered talent.

The show, tentatively titled Que Viva, is currently looking for a network to broadcast it.

The news, reported by Entertainment Weekly, has raised questions as to whether Jennifer will remain on the American Idol panel.

Her contract for the show which also features Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler as panel judges - is only for one season. The songstress has previously spoken about her future on the show, and speculation has been rife as to whether she would sign up for another season.

"I dont know if I will do another season. I'm taking it day by day at the moment, and well see what happens, she said in a recent interview.

Simon Fuller's spokesman has not commented on the reports. (C) Cover Media
