(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jennifer Lopez was desperate for her fans to be able to sing and dance to her new song with her.
The singer-and-actress has collaborated with Pitbull and super-producer RedOne on her release On The Floor. RedOne was keen to work with her as soon as the possibility was mentioned to him, but wasnt prepared for how fun she would be in the studio.
He was blown away by how enjoyable she made the recording process, and by her professionalism. She's a dancer. She can sing. I was really amazed, and I had so much fun working with her. Her energy and everything about her is a star, and it was natural for me to do what we did, he explained.
Of course, she's global: She's a global artist. She's a global actress, and the music has to be global, and the rhythmic side of it or the Latin and this thing of a dancer [all has to be there]. She said, 'I want to dance. I want to make people dance and be able to sing with me.' That's what we did, and it feels good. I think we're going to have a big one.
On The Floor includes a sample of Kaomas Lambada, and RedOne knew immediately it would be a floor filler.
The producer has been a fan of Jennifers for years, and when they met he already had some ideas about what they should work on. He wanted to make the most of Jennifers Latin heritage, and show off her famous hips.
She's a true star. They asked me to work with her and I was like, 'Absolutely,' he told MTV News. She's one of those that I've always admired. What she's done with the music and film and everything, she's a true artist - a 360 artist. (C) Cover Media
