Trailer alert! 'Bharat' to make Eid 2019 grand & splendid

22nd April 2019

Salman Khan's Eid releases become a talking point as soon as they are announced. Releasing on June 5, 2019, makers have unveiled the official trailer of 'Bharat' online. Movie captures the journey of our leading pair Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif from the day of India's independence announcement till 2010. Like his previous movie titles, this one is based on Khan's onscreen character name.

Trailer opens with voice over of then PM Jawaharlal Nehru's speech, "At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom." Followed by Khan possibly in his 70s narrating about his colourful life defying the middle class thought process of an old man having lived a boring life. Right then we are introuduced to Khan as a stuntman in circus with his favorite partner played by Disha Patani. Performing some daredevil stunts and entertaining the crowd along with Disha and Sunil Grover as his pals.

Moving on to one of the funny banters, that introduces Katrina, as Madam-Sir who plays as a recruiter. Salman and Sunil apply for job as labourers in the Middle East, this draws Khan closer to Kaif and here blooms their love story which is appealing to watch onscreen. Katrina is seen in retro look by sporting simple sarees with wavy hair. Khan's character Bharat like his previous films plays a true family man. Actors such as Sonali Kulkarni, Aashif Sheikh, Shashank Arora, Kashmira Irani, Ayesha Razia, Jackie Shroff and Kumud Mishra are introduced as his onscreen family.

So far the trailer throws light on characters happier moments, followed by tragic incidents giving glimpse of Bharat's unpleasant and heart-breaking past during the time of partition. Child artist Kabir Sajid plays younger Bharat's role. It sheds light on the hardships that his family faces post partition phase; once again taking us through his life journey as he takes different jobs from a circus stuntman to miner to Marine Personnel to an old man to support his family; being with his family in all the highs and lows. Nora Fatehi also has yet another act which is as sizzling as her last one 'Dilbar' from 'Satyameva Jayate'.

Sharing the trailer, Salman Khan, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff, Ali Abbas Zafar, Atul Agnihotri, Disha Patani, tweeted, "Journey of a man and a nation together #BharatTrailer OUT NOW - http://bit.ly/Bharat_Trailer"

An official remake of Korean film 'An Ode To My Father' is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who has directed the lead pair several times in the past. Showcasing Bharat's journey from 18 years to 70 years, it is set to release on June 5, 2019.
